Fashion Designers on Stage

A series of fashion illustrations I did for the World of Wonders display at Lane Crawford. Each illustration was done in colored pencil and features the corresponding designer's own work.

Perhaps the only time I will see Kate Moss wearing my art?

Eye Candy

Hand-painted In-Store Mural at Lane Crawford, IFC.

Shoes and handbags are like candy, aren't they? And us girls simply must try every flavor!

Indecisive Shoppers, This is for you.

More from the "World of Wonders" In-Store Display at Lane Crawford.

I guess this can help those indecisive types - which shoes to buy? The red? The blue? The pink?

Faceless Beauties & Photo Ops

I'm a fan of utilizing odd color schemes, or bold & graphic colors/shapes, so I have to say, it's a bit of a challenge to paint using a naturalistic color scheme for once!

Below: Faceless Beauties - A series of illustrations I painted featuring the latest Summer Collection looks, now in store at Lane Crawford.

Paris, Je t'aime!

Game Show Glamour!

City Chic

Strange Zoo.

Further adventures in art direction...

This is a wall I worked on with 3 & 4-year-old students! I decided to create sort of a crazy zoo based on some images of African beaded animals I found during research. I'm really big on the idea that children's spaces don't need to be full of primary colors and dumbed-down art. So - our strange zoo once again uses a combination of wheat pasting and acrylic painting. The students helped to paint a variety of geometric shapes to create patterns on paper, which we then used to create our animals. They also helped to paste it up on the wall!

The creatures are halfway imaginary / realistic - but that's half the fun, right?

We used a glue/water mixture instead of a traditional wheat paste, so the glue helps to seal both sides of the paper from rain & other weather conditions as well as adhere the art to the wall. It doesn't last forever, but I guess that's an excuse to repaint?

C O N S E Q U E N C E S Exhibition Recap!

I'm a little late posting this up, but in case you didn't catch the Consequences: A Girls' Night Out exhibition (still up until Tuesday, May 12!) , here's my work from the show!

We based our concept on the idea of the "Exquisite Corpse", an old game whose French origin translates to the word "Consequences". Following the rules of the exquisite corpse, we wrote a story, with each artist contributing a section, unable to see what the others had written (save for the last sentence of the previous person's paragraph).

We used our story and the theme of a girls' night out as the basis for our art pieces. You can check out my work below:
