I've been coloring on the walls with my new mural for Yew Wah International Education School of Guangzhou, China. I put up some progress shots awhile back, but here's a look at the finished piece.
I created this mural to make the space feel like a school - with its previously undecorated walls, it felt cold and uninviting. I used playful shapes and bright colors to convey movement and echo the energy of students and the feeling of being young. Shapes and lines move upward to symbolize growth, learning, and being launched into the world.

Hong Kong friends! I'll have some new works for sale next week at Small Space, Big Flair: MobArt PopUp at PMQ (35 Aberdeen St., Sheung Wan, Hong Kong). If you've been looking for some art for your tiny Hong Kong flat, but can never seem to find enough wall space, this is the perfect chance to pick up a smaller piece that's the perfect fit. Just in time for Art Basel, MobArt Gallery will be installing a PopUp shop in Room S310 at PMQ, featuring the works of over 50 local artists. Hope to see you there!
